Hey, y’all!

I am back with another post, but this time we are slowly approaching a new season, thank God. Fall is just where my heart is at when it comes to fashion. As I’ve gotten older, I enjoy the fall season more than any other. Summer in LA is great - don’t get me wrong, but it can feel like death when the heat waves show their face. Personally, I prefer brisk air so I can layer my clothing. Even though the pandemic still has us a bit restricted — my advice would be to never miss the opportunity to show up as your best self and let the outfit speak for itself! This is a look I pulled together with pieces from my closet, like I’ve preached before. Work with what you got and you'll be surprised by what you come up with. I am starting to embrace blazers a bit more, so I figured why not make a subtle entrance into fall with an outfit that combines summer colors but with some fall silhouettes!

Can we talk about my orange mules by Vince Camuto?! These were such a great birthday gift and the perfect pop of color. I love the crocodile texture, as well. If you are creative, this color can be combined with many prints or solids. I LOVE this blazer and I am really into the “sage green” color trend (if you didn’t know, now you know). This simple blazer is from H&M, and it was super affordable and versatile. I paired the blazer with a white ribbed tank, also from H&M, along with my high waisted Levi's (Ribcage Straight Ankle Jeans).  I love anything that is cream colored, so this purse was another perfect birthday gift that finished my look. I can't forget the gold accessories: chain belt, cross-hoop earrings from XIXI, and rings!

One piece of advice I would give, is that you don’t have to make drastic changes into the new season (at least in LA) - subtle transitions are perfect. There should not be any pressure in making a drastic fashion transition. Do you and do it well!

Show up in excellence every time, treat yourself, but also learn to use what is already in your closet. I believe this shows authenticity. I try my best to embrace this. I hope reading this leaves you with a bit more ambition to dress your best and embrace seasonal fashion but make it your own. Remember, keep those #ideasloading.

Here are some of my personal style trends that I hope to embrace this fall season!
