For someone like me who loves fashion, it is intriguing to see what trends will be projected for the following year/season. This helps me to stay in tune with the fashion industry in order to keep up, because I mean who doesn’t want to keep up?!  Whether or not you embrace new trends, you cannot deny that this industry is constantly changing. The challenge can arise when your platform/business embraces trends but stays true to the initial authenticity. Personally, I enjoy embracing some trends and putting my own #parisysatis spin on it. I would like to say that I have a good sense of what trends are short-lived and which ones aren't. One thing I embrace and love about my sense of style is that it is timeless. I enjoy challenging myself to try out new trends that I know will be long lived or can be recycled down the road.

TRENDS

  1. Cream/“Almond Milk”

  2. Celery

  3. Oversized Suiting

  4. Wide brim hat

  5. Fringe

  6. Leather

  7. Statement Sleeves

“Almond Milk”

To be honest, I’m not sure why there is suppose to be “no white after Labor Day.” There are no rules in fashion (especially ones like these), so that is out the window. Listen, I LOVE anything cream colored. I think it is a statement color, and accent color, and perfect for layering. This color is timeless. It works for all seasons. It is strong enough to stand on its own, but subtle enough to be an add on. This color is one of my favorite nude colors. It's modern and luxurious  yet very versatile!

“Celery”

This color way for fall is super interesting due to the played out neon green that made an entrance and fast exist last summer. This yellow-green color way is strong enough to stand on its own or adds the perfect touch as an accessory. I love the emphasis of this color and also how it almost blends in well with a neutral palette. This also gives brightness to an outfit and brings newness to a fall closet. I would embrace this color way with an accessory such as a statement purse or heels!

“Oversized Suiting”

This trend has been prevalent for a while now, but fall seems like the perfect time to truly embrace oversized suiting. This could be a blazer, a skirt, pant, or short suit. This is definitely a trend I will be embracing this fall season - the perfect look to dress up or down!

“Wide Brim Hat”

I’ve noticed this trend is on the rise and to be honest, it's a timeless one. I have not built up the confidence to wear a hat like this, but I do enjoy seeing others flaunt theirs! It gives me inspiration. This type of hat can be worn in all seasons if it's paired accordingly! Perfect for a coffee date, brunch, or a night out to dinner with bae or the girls!

“Fringe”

Honestly, its intriguing to see how much fashion recycles itself because the “fringe” trend seems to never die out completely and always makes a peak comeback. I love this trend for the fall and winter seasons! I love when I see a fringe jacket. It gives any outfit character that it might lack. This is definitely a trend that I can see myself purchasing this fall.

“Leather”

Leather… well y’all know leather is here to stay forever. This is a trend that is classic and can be worn in various ways and with different pieces. The older I get, the more I’m starting to come around to leather. It can support many different styles like: vintage, casual, timeless, boho, sophisticated, chic, and trendy! I am definitely a fan of leather pants!

“Statement Sleeves”

I love this trend! This distinctive sleeve structure has longevity in fashion. Statement sleeves can give a simple piece that spunk that will make someone ask you "Where did you buy it from?" which technically can be considered a compliment. Statement sleeves give a unique shape and feature to any piece of clothing. These provide that dramatic feel that you must make room for in your closet this fall!

Whatever trends you decide to indulge in, make sure to make it YOU. Trends come and go, but your sense of style doesn’t.  It might improve or shift a bit, but no one can take that away from you. We tend to compare ourselves to others in many aspects of life and fashion can be one of them. God designed you and created you to be you and you only. I remind myself  and challenge myself to be everything He has called me to be, especially in the realms of fashion. Fashion is the best outer form of self expression. Embrace it!  I hope this post helped you to decide or give you ideas on what to add to your closet this season. Remember, keep those #ideasloading!

With Love,
